LocalTel - Notice history

Thursday the 17th, our admin team will be moving LocalTel network equipment, affecting our Chelan County Fiber customers on the Saddlerock PUD Fiber node. This is a networking change, and the maintenance window is only anticipated to be a 1 hour duration, with down service during the maintenance anticipated at 10 minutes or less.

This outage is to restore temporary cabling back to permanent cabling after the previous outage at this location.

This maintenance will start at 11pm on Aug 3rd and will end at 5am on Aug 4th.

This maintenance will be countywide.

This maintenance will be service affecting.

The duration of the outage will be 30 minutes.

During this maintenance, KPUD will be updating all of the Calix equipment(ONTs and OLTs). This will be a rolling outage.

Our TV services team is going to be working on our core networking equipment overnight. This will result in all channels across all services in all regions going down during the maintenance work. The outage itself is only expected to last 15 minutes during the one hour maintenance window.

Chelan PUD is temporarily replacing two fiber cables under Pershing St due to storm drain repair work on that street.

This is an emergency outage caused by road construction on Red Apple Rd. The city is placing a catch basin where one of our fiber vaults is located.

Chelan PUD is moving a fiber optic cable to an underground run in a section of Yakima St. Video services will be affected in ALL areas during the maintenance period.

Grant County PUD discovered a damaged fiber cable near Mattawa. The damage is extensive and requires immediate repair. Repairs began at 9:30am today, 08/11 and estimated completion time is by 9:30pm tonight. Completion time could flex in either direction, depending on any additional issues PUD uncovers during the repairs.

Additionally, another fiber cable near Mattawa was damaged when it was inadvertently dug up. Crews are already on site at this location as well, and work on this cable is also expected to be completed by 9:30pm this evening.

Kitsap PUD is planning a daytime maintenance for moving circuits off of old equipment onto new equipment om Southern Bainbridge Island. This maintenance is service affecting, and the outage duration is anticipated to be about 4 hours during the maintenance window.

Kitsap PUD is planning an overnight maintenance for rerouting fiber paths in the Gorst area. This maintenance is service affecting, and outage duration is anticipated to be about 5 hours during the maintenance window.

Kitsap PUD is planning an overnight maintenance for rerouting fiber paths in the Kingston area. This maintenance is service affecting, and outage duration is anticipated to be about 5 hours during the maintenance window.
